We wish we had a pub as nice as this near our home. A friendly welcome; jovial atmosphere - not too loud so you can have a conversation; real ales and a huge choice of drinks; great food, and I do mean great! Generous portions too (which meant, sadly, we couldn't manage a dessert). Definitely a place worth visiting.

I can't comment on food as I've not eaten there. But from the experience on 8/11/25 for the fireworks display. It was fantastic. Staff were friendly even knowing the place was packed and very stressful for them. Seems a nice quaint place. Definitely recommend to others and I'll definitely come back again.
