A group of 4 of us had supper at The Twisted Oak before a night out in St Thomas! It's a little off the beaten track but on the outskirts of Exeter. There's plenty of parking. The pub is quite large and I imagine ut can get quite lively. We visited just after the bar area had been decorated for Halloween ๐. The waitress who took our order was exemplary, in that, when it came to desserts, she remembered one of our party had a vegan main and therefore would she prefer vegan ice-cream! The food was good and the atmosphere very friendly and comfortable. Dogs on a lead very welcome (although 2 of the dogs we saw there were not on leads?). Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner
This is a great place to take children. There is a huge play area with a tunnel slide and lots of equipment for kids to play on. The beer garden has a great sun trap with lots of seating. Situated on the outskirts of Exeter and close to the A30 and A38. There is a huge carpark that can cater for caravans and motor homes. Prices are reasonable and the service is quick. Coffee is also really tasty.
